Awell Docs

Awell documentation

Start here — an overview of Awell's care orchestration platform and how these docs are organized for the people and agents who read them.

Awell is a care orchestration platform: it coordinates the activities a patient and care team move through over time, so the hand-offs between people and systems happen automatically instead of by hand. These docs explain how the platform works and how to build with it.

Who these docs are for

The writing leans technical, but every page opens with a plain-language summary, so you can orient quickly whether you're an engineer wiring up an integration or a care operations lead mapping out a workflow.

Where to start

This site is early — the full information architecture is still taking shape. For now:

  • Concepts explain what something is and why it matters.
  • How-to guides walk you through a specific task.
  • Reference gives exact fields, parameters, and values.
  • Tutorials build something end-to-end.

A good first read

  • What are Awell Extensions? — how a care flow connects to EHRs, messaging, scheduling, and your own apps, so your team isn't the glue between systems.

More sections land as we migrate and rewrite existing content. Use search (top of the page) to find anything that's already here.
