Review and interact with care flow activities

Read messages, submit forms, and understand what a care flow did using the activity feed, the timeline, and the audit logs.

Activities are the work a care flow generates: a message to read, a form to submit, a calculation that ran. This page covers acting on them and finding out what happened.

Opening an active care flow

  • From a patient: open the Patients list, select the patient, then choose an active care flow.
  • From a task: open the Activities list and select a specific pending activity.

Either route opens the care flow, where the activity feed, the timeline and the audit logs answer different questions.

Activity feed: what happened, in order

A log of every activity orchestrated according to the design in Studio: messages, forms, calculations, and so on. It includes timing delays based on reference dates, and the if-this-then-that logic that personalizes a flow at runtime.

It shows the actions assigned to people and the system activities Awell generated itself.

Timeline: when each activity was activated and completed

Filter by elements or layers of the care flow: tracks, steps, actions.

Use this when the question is about timing rather than content, such as where a patient is stuck.

Audit logs: why something happened

The granular record of historic events and why: why a step was discarded, why a track triggered.

Audit logs answer "why did this patient not get the follow-up", so check them before assuming something is broken.

Next steps

Next: Prefill form fields when revising a form the patient already submitted once.
