Duplicate steps

Copy a step that is already configured, instead of rebuilding a near-identical one.

A message on day 1, day 30 and day 60 after surgery is the same step three times with a different delay. Duplicate it and adjust.

Duplicate a step

  1. Click the three dots in the step card's top-right corner.
  2. Select Duplicate.

The copy appears below the original, with "(copy)" added to its name.

Rename it straight away. Several steps called "Follow-up message (copy)" make a care flow unreadable, and clinicians see that name later.

Use the step library for a step that belongs in several tracks

Duplicating is right for a one-off copy in the same track. For the same step across several tracks, add it to the step library so there's one version to maintain.

Next steps

Next: Label steps to tell similar steps apart by color on a crowded canvas.
